Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using UNDERCARD, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use UNDERCARD. You must be at least 16, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in secure and the details you give us accurate. You're responsible for what happens under your account. One person per account.

3. Your videos and the people in them

• Only upload video you have the right to share.
• If other people appear in it, such as sparring partners or coaches, make sure they are happy for it to be filmed and analysed.
• Don't upload anything unlawful, abusive or that you don't have permission to use.

Anyone shown in a bout who didn't agree to it can ask us to take it down: from the app if they are tagged on it, or from the bout's web page. We hide the bout while we review the request, and remove it if the request is upheld.

We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules.

4. Public bouts and community rules

Your bouts are public. Keep it respectful — we have zero tolerance for abuse.

Once a bout is analysed, other people can see it: your name, nickname, flag, club, photo, the bout's title, date and opponent, its statistics, story and a still picture. Your videos are not shown. What others see is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Names, nicknames, titles, club names and anything else you post must not be:

• hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual or otherwise objectionable;
• pretending to be someone else, or naming or tagging someone against their wishes;
• spam, scams or anything unlawful.

We filter some words automatically. You can report a bout or a person and block anyone from the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or close the accounts that posted it. Contact us any time at hello@undercard.cc.

Free minutes you earn by inviting friends have no cash value and can't be transferred.

5. What you let us do with your content

You own your videos. You let us use them to run and improve UNDERCARD.

You keep ownership of the videos you upload. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to store, copy, process and analyse your videos, frames, sound and the statistics we make from them, and to let our service providers do so for us, in order to:

• run UNDERCARD, show you your results and show your public bouts to other people;
• improve and develop the service and our technology, including our analysis.

This licence continues after you delete a bout or your account, for content already uploaded. After you delete your account, we keep it only without your name or contact details.

6. Your statistics

Statistics and summaries are estimates made from video. They can be wrong, and they are not medical, coaching or safety advice. Train and spar safely.

7. Fair use

Don't misuse UNDERCARD: no attempts to break, overload or copy the service, to get at other people's data, or to use it in a way that breaks the law.

8. Deleting your account

Deleting is immediate and permanent.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile › Delete account).

• Your account, contact details and profile are deleted straight away. This can't be undone.
• Bouts you uploaded are disconnected from you and may be kept without your name, as section 5 explains. They stop being shown to anyone.
• Bouts saved on your phone stay there until you delete them.

9. Changes

UNDERCARD is new and will change. We may add, change or remove features, and update these Terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email. Using UNDERCARD after a change means you accept it.

10. No warranty, and limits on our liability

We can't promise the service is perfect or error-free.

UNDERCARD is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Law and contact

These Terms are governed by the law of the place where UNDERCARD is established, without taking away the consumer protections of the country you live in. Questions about these Terms:
